India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the nation following the coronavirus outbreak in the country. From the speech of the Prime Minister, it has become clear that the lockdown is extended till May 3.
While addressing the nation, Mr. Modi said that following his discussion with the states, everyone agrees and even the citizens suggest that the lockdown should be extended. ” Taking all the suggestions into consideration, it is decided that the lockdown has to be extended till 3rd May in India,” Mr. Prime Minister announced. Mr. Modi further said that amid the lockdown, the citizens should have to follow the disciplines, the way they have been following.
Earlier, the Prime Minister announced the nationwide lockdown till 14th April, however, taking all the seriousness of the outbreak, the lockdown has been extended. It can be mentioned here that India currently has 10363 COVID-19 cases and the death toll is at 339.
