Among the four new cases of COVID-19 in Lucknow, one is reportedly the well-known Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor who came into limelight for her ‘Baby doll’ song. Kanika Kapoor was tested positive for the coronavirus on Friday.

The singer was in London for a while and came back to Lucknow last week. In a telephonic interview given to a state news channel, she said that she first reached Mumbai and then came Lucknow. However, she mentioned that she was screened at the Airport and was not given any instruction. At the same same time, a news report claims that the singer hid travel history and attended parties.

The singer’s father told Aaj Tak that she attended three parties and came in contact with 350-400 people. Kanika Kapoor is now admitted to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital in Lucknow. Her family members are undergoing tests, more details regarding this are awaited.

News sources also claim that Kanika attended a party in Lucknow where BJP leader Vasundhara Raje and her son were present. Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant Singh are now reportedly in self-quarantine.
