In a recent development in the alleged killing of Tabrez Ansari following a mob attack points towards a different angle of the incident and the whole case. Jharkhand Police reportedly dropped the murder charge from the chargesheet filed against 11 accused in the case.
The murder charges under IPC Section 302 against the 11 accused dropped as the post-mortem report said Tabrez died of a cardiac arrest.
“Medical report did not give any supporting evidence for murder so that we charged (the accused) under culpable homicide not amounting to murder which is also equally punishable if not to the extent of murder sections,” NDTV quoted a senior police officer in Jharkhand in its report.
The mob attack incident on Tabrez Ansari was earlier protested by a large number of people in different parts of the country, including the national capital of India; New Delhi. Tabrez was reportedly attacked by a mob for an alleged motorcycle theft incident.
